BROADBAND INFRASTRUCTURE

BUILT FOR BROADBAND THAT HAS TO PERFORM IN THE FIELD

From outside plant to the customer connection, WBE brings fiber, conduit, enclosures, connectivity, sourcing and deployment support together so broadband programs can move from plan to build with fewer material and field delays.

Broadband built from the field outward

WBE connects outside plant materials, fiber architecture and live project support so teams can specify, source and deploy the network without losing context between engineering, procurement and the field.

OUTSIDE PLANT

Route & Civil Infrastructure

Conduit, vaults, handholes, closures and supporting hardware selected around route conditions, installation methods and long-term access.
FIBER NETWORK

Fiber Distribution

Feeder and distribution fiber, cabinets, splitters and connectivity coordinated around the approved PON architecture and service-area design.
CUSTOMER CONNECTION

Drops & Premises

Drop cable, terminals, enclosures and customer-premises connectivity planned for repeatable installations and faster turn-up.

Move from plan to build without the handoff gaps

Broadband programs rarely move in a straight line. WBE can join during feasibility, detailed network definition or live deployment, keeping route decisions, product requirements and field realities connected as the build advances.

Plan

Confirm service-area priorities, route conditions, take-rate assumptions and the deployment model before materials or engineering effort are committed.
SERVICE AREA + DEPLOYMENT

Build

Translate routes and architecture into fiber counts, cabinets, splitters, closures, drops and a bill of materials that procurement can act on.
NETWORK + MATERIALS

Connect

Support staging, delivery and field decisions through customer connection, including changes, shortages and existing-network discoveries.
FIELD + ACTIVATION

From service area to customer connection

An early decision about demand, routes or architecture changes fiber counts, cabinet strategy, splitters, drops, the bill of materials and how product needs to arrive at the jobsite.

Service area

Demand, funding, premises and build-sequence assumptions.

Routes & pathways

Aerial, underground, permitting and existing-asset constraints.

Fiber plan

Feeder, distribution, PON, split strategy and fiber counts.

Outside plant BOM

Conduit, vaults, closures, cabinets, terminals and hardware.

Customer connection

Drops, premises enclosures, connectors and activation materials.

Stage & deliver

Kitting, stocking and delivery aligned to construction sequence.

Field response

Alternatives and fast decisions when site conditions change.

A broadband plan the next team can act on

The work should reduce uncertainty and leave engineering, procurement or field teams with clear decisions, usable technical context and a practical next action—not another document that has to be interpreted from scratch.

1. Route clarity
Pathways, constraints and installation assumptions are visible enough to guide engineering and construction.
2. Defined fiber plan
Fiber counts, PON architecture, cabinets and split strategy are ready to inform procurement.
3. Complete material view
Outside plant, distribution and customer-connection materials appear in one coordinated plan.
4. Deployment ownership
Design decisions, missing information and field dependencies have clear owners and next actions.
5. Supply readiness
Availability, approved alternatives and delivery sequencing are visible before construction is put at risk.
6. Field-ready next step
Each workstream ends with a practical route into design, purchasing, staging or installation.

Broadband expertise connected to the supply chain

WBE stays connected to the fiber, passive infrastructure, cabinets, drops, manufacturers, sourcing and deployment questions that broadband teams eventually have to solve. Product knowledge and project context live in the same conversation.

Outside-plant knowledge

Route conditions and installation methods can be considered alongside the conduit, closures, cabinets and hardware that crews will use.

Fiber-system expertise

Feeder, distribution, PON and customer-connection decisions can be checked against real products and interfaces.

Manufacturer reach

Alternatives, custom configurations and technical questions have a route into WBE’s manufacturer network.

Deployment logistics

Stocking, kitting and phased delivery can follow the construction sequence instead of arriving as one undifferentiated order.

Can WBE join a broadband program that is already underway?

Yes. WBE can focus on the current constraint rather than restart the program. Existing GIS, route plans, fiber designs, BOMs, construction schedules and field issues are all useful starting points.

Can WBE support just one stage of the build?

No. Planning, network definition, product sourcing and deployment support can be used independently. They can also stay connected when the program crosses more than one stage.

Can network design and product sourcing be combined?

Yes. Network decisions can be translated into real cabinets, splitters, closures, cable, drops and approved alternatives through WBE’s manufacturer and sourcing network.

What project information helps WBE assess a broadband program?

Send what already exists: service-area information, GIS, route or construction plans, fiber architecture, current BOMs, deadlines and the specific decision or field problem that needs resolving.

Can WBE support material and field issues during deployment?

Yes. WBE can help with shortages, substitutions, staging, delivery coordination and decisions caused by existing-network or site conditions during construction.

When should detailed network design start?

Detailed design should begin once the service area, routes and deployment assumptions are stable enough to guide engineering. WBE can help resolve unclear inputs before that point.

Start with the part of the broadband that needs resolving

Tell WBE where the broadband program stands, what information already exists and which design, material, sourcing or field question needs resolving. The first conversation can establish the most useful place to start.
